Recently, DHC, together with the School of Biomedical Engineering of Guangdong Medical University and Songshan Lake Medical and Industrial Integration Innovation Center, jointly held the first training and certification class of SNOMED CT. As a leader in medical big data and artificial intelligence, DHC is currently the only official partner in Chinese mainland that has both license distribution and training certification for SNOMED CT, and has the responsibility and ability to promote the application of forward-looking technology and international standard medical terminology in China.

SNOMED CT is a currently widely used standardized clinical medical terminology standard in the world, which can meet the diversified needs of clinical workers and different types of hospitals. Relevant personnel in the medical industry can master the international standard medical terms and coding systems by learning and using SNOMED CT, improve the standardization level of clinical practice, and enhance the international view and clinical ability of relevant personnel.

At the training course, Lin Ling, dean of the School of Biomedical Engineering of Guangdong Medical University, emphasized the necessity of cross-integration of medicine and engineering in his speech, and pointed out the importance of standardization and normalization of clinical data in the context of AI and medical big data. Through this training, we hope we can further promote the cooperation between industry, university and research institutes, actively cultivate interdisciplinary talents, and provide continuous intellectual support for the development of the medical field.

Dr. Gong Meng Chun, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer of DHC, said that the cross-integration training of medicine and engineering was very valuable, and the related training could lay a good foundation for the application and promotion of SNOMED CT in China. He also shared the important roles of data standards and data standardization in the fields of biomedicine, informatics and big data with the theme of Data Standards and Data Standardization in Biomedicine. He pointed out that data standards and data standardization were of great significance for the development of Chinese health care big data. With a solid technical research and rigorous academic attitude, DHC has popularized terminology technology in the industry and promoted terminology standardization to provide the core guarantee for data-driven medical technology development and health improvement.

DHC has insisted on constructing a standard system of medical terms according to international common standards, promoted the standardization of clinical terms in China, and realized the single-center and multi-center standardized application of data for a long time,: SNOMED CT was used to carry out large-scale projects such as the National Oncology Big Data Platform, the National Cardiovascular Big Data Platform, the China Kidney Disease Big Data Platform, the China National Rare Disease Registration System, and others, which played an important role in promoting clinical research in China. The construction of floor-level multi-modal big data center was carried out in high-level teaching hospitals such as Southern Hospital.

In the future, DHC will continue to play an active role in the standardization of data, data interoperability, data analysis and mining, innovative applications and decision support, providing core support for the high-quality development of China's health care big data industry and further accelerating the process of high-level domestic medicine.
