Xu Juan, Vice President of DHC and Dean of the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, mentioned that DHC, with AI technology at its core and relying on high-quality multimodal big data, independently develops medical domain multimodal large models supported by four modality foundation models of text, imaging, pathology, and precision. These models create a multimodal intelligent entity specific to the medical vertical domain. By deeply governing clinical data, imaging data, pathology data, and genetic data, DHC's large model empowers multiple scenario applications such as medical big data, clinical diagnosis and treatment, intelligent scientific research, and health management. The goal is to form a new paradigm for data-intensive medical research based on multimodal data integration, with AI technology at its core and clinical scientific research as the target. This aims to gradually promote the clinical application transformation of multimodal technologies and achieve digital precision diagnosis and treatment. Currently, it has co-built the first large model-assisted comprehensive multimodal data governance system with Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University and supported the construction of the first large model-supported intelligent oncology knowledge base at the Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Chongqing University.

Min Haowei, Research Director of the Precision Medicine Platform R&D Center at DHC, stated that the multimodal clinical research integrated machine of DHC is a platform integrating hardware and software, developed and optimized over many years by DHC. It covers functions such as the gene and multi-omics bioinformatics analysis platform, imaging research platform, cross-modal data research platform, and clinical multimodal data decision support model for precision medicine. The integrated machine constructs a precision medicine AI engine that provides a value chain from clinical discovery to disease diagnosis and prediction. It connects various modal data islands within the medical field, fully empowering clinical, scientific research, proactive health management of populations, and innovative drug development in precision medicine. It has been applied in several hospitals including the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, and Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University.

During the conference, DHC set up an experience zone for the large model and integrated machine at its booth. Many attending hospital leaders and experts scholars visited for interactive exchanges, receiving strong on-site responses.

Strategic Partnerships with Key Partners

Throughout the conference, DHC held strategic partnership signing ceremonies with key partners—Digital Silk Road Xinjiang Industry Investment Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as Investment Group), Shanghai Zexin Software Co., Ltd. (referred to as Zexin Software), and Dawning Information Industry Co., Ltd. (referred to as Zhongke Dawning).

At the signing ceremony, Shi Wenzhao, Chairman and CEO of DHC, remarked that technology develops rapidly, with new generations of artificial intelligence technology represented by large models intensifying market competition while also bringing cooperation and development opportunities. DHC will not only strengthen its core competitiveness but also actively engage in close collaboration with leading companies in the industry to jointly promote the vigorous development of the healthcare industry. DHC hopes to deepen cooperation with more top enterprises to build a healthy ecosystem in healthcare, advance life sciences, and realize humanity's dream of health.

Attention Shi Wenzhao, Chairman and CEO of DHC, was invited to speak at the sub-forum "Intelligent Enhancement of Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment," where he discussed the innovative applications of medical big data and AI in the large model era. He highlighted the profound impact of large models on the healthcare industry's development, primarily in medical clinical research and pharmaceutical R&D. Then, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and research in medicine, he shared pain points in these areas and how DHC leverages AIGC and medical integration innovation to address these issues.

As a leader in the medical AI industry, DHC utilizes big data and multimodal technologies to enhance core AI capabilities and build its large model. With a national-level medical big data platform and a rich portfolio of products and solutions tailored to different needs, DHC leads the digitalization and intelligence of China's healthcare industry with "big data + AI."

Gong Mengchun, Doctor of Medical Science and Senior Vice President of DHC, was invited to share on the sub-forum "Data-Based Clinical Research Platform," titled "Construction and Application of Generation AI Technology in Teaching Hospital Comprehensive Multimodal Data Platform." He stated that the construction of a comprehensive multimodal data platform in teaching hospitals is essential. DHC holds a technological lead in building comprehensive multimodal data platforms at the hospital level. In collaboration with Nanfang Hospital of Southern Medical University, the first comprehensive multimodal data platform in southern China was established, certified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as the only comprehensive multimodal data diagnostic and research integrated application demonstration base in southern China. DHC takes the lead in applying for the National Development and Reform Commission's multimodal clinical decision support system development and promotion project, which will be promoted in 100 large third-grade hospitals and 1000 primary-level hospitals. Furthermore, DHC has built several international-level collaborative platforms for clinical research based on the OMOP common data model and SNOMED CT/LOINC international terminologies. It has published multiple significant research achievements in top international journals (BMJ, Nature Genetics, Nature Communications, Lancet RHWP, JMIR, etc.), receiving awards such as the Best Paper from the International Medical Informatics Association and the World Health Organization Innovation Award. These achievements have elevated China's multimodal clinical data applications to an international leading level.

In the "Specialized Information System Construction Practice (Care, Women and Children, Oncology, Chronic Diseases)" sub-forum, Xu Juan, Vice President of DHC's Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, was invited to give a presentation titled "Sharing on DHC's Large Model Release."
