CHINC2024 | Shi Wenzhao: In the Era of Large Models, DHC Takes the Lead in the Medical AI Industry

Recently, the 2024 China Hospital Information Network Conference (CHINC), organized by the Hospital Management Research Institute of the National Health Commission and hosted by the "China Digital Medicine" magazine, was held in Qingdao. Shi Wenzhao, Chairman and CEO of DHC, was invited to attend the conference and shared a keynote on "Innovative Applications of Medical Big Data and AI in the Era of Large Models."

At the forum on "Intelligent Enhancement of Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment," Shi Wenzhao stated that technological development has advanced rapidly, with artificial intelligence entering the era of large models. Following the advent of ChatGPT, generative artificial intelligence (AIGC) has garnered significant attention over the past year, with its technology making rapid strides and finding widespread applications across various industries. The integration and innovative development of AIGC with healthcare are particularly promising and hold a bright future. Shi pointed out that large models have had a profound impact on the development of the healthcare industry, mainly involving medical clinical research and pharmaceutical R&D and production. He then elaborated on the pain points in the medical field from three aspects: diagnosis and treatment, patients, and scientific research. Combined with these pain points, he shared DHC's applications and achievements in the fusion and innovation of AIGC with healthcare. With the advent of the large model era, as a leader in the medical big data AI industry, DHC relies on core technologies such as big data and multimodality to build the DHC large model. It innovatively develops a multimodal large model supported by text, imaging, pathology, and precision models, empowering multi-scenario applications in the medical field. Moreover, Shi emphasized that medical research focuses on seriousness and clinical practicality. Therefore, DHC concentrates on specialization and precision in developing large models, leading the medical AI industry comprehensively with professional large models.

Subsequently, Shi introduced how DHC fully leverages advanced technologies such as large models and multimodal techniques to support the construction of national-level big data platforms, promote high-quality scientific research development in hospitals, and empower the development of specialized diseases. DHC's products and solutions focus on specialized diseases, effectively improving the level of clinical diagnosis and treatment, strengthening discipline construction, and enhancing research capabilities. They meet the needs of hospitals at different levels and help hospitals achieve overall high-quality development.
